Documentary Review: Confessions of a Superhero

Matthew Ogdens directs this 2007 film about actors who dress up as Superheroes and other characters on the Hollywood walk of fame, centering around 4 actors who portray Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and the Hulk. Jon, Paul, and I began this flick last night not quite sure what to expect. What was presented turned out to be weirder than I could imagine. Superman (Christopher Dennis) served as a type of leader of the Walk of Fame set, attempting to organize and keep the other characters in line. His fascination in his role of Superman goes beyond bordering on obsession, and spending most of his life in the costume. The stills of the characters doing ordinary tasks were among the most stunning, and their stories interesting. overall this is a compelling, weird, and slightly depressing look at this strange phenomenon. Certainly recommended by me. Boy do I love Netflix.
